Private Duty Nursing
Private duty nursing is skilled nursing care that takes place outside the hospital setting to include the clients’ home, school, or other community settings. Private duty nursing is provided by a registered nurse or by a licensed practical nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse. A certified nursing assistant may be utilized for non-skilled custodial care.
The majority of our patients have complex medical needs that include:

- Nero-Muscular Disease and Injury Management
- Ventilator Management
- Tracheotomy Care
- Bi-Pap, C-Pap Management
- Spinal Cord Injury Management
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Seizure Disorder Maintenance
- Gastrointestinal Management
- G-Tube Management
- J-Tube Management
- NG-Tube Management
- Central Line Management
- PIC Line Management
- Feeding Disorder, Colostomy Care Maintenance
However, many patients with unskilled needs receive care that includes:
- Custodial Care
- Bathing Feeding
- Meal Preparation Toileting
- Light House Keeping Supervision.
